About the facilitator
Karis Mae is on a mission to bring more connection into the world. She is a self-confessed cuddle queen, authenticity advocate and connection nerd. Her passion is to get to the heart of being human; to dive into the depths of relating where authenticity and vulnerability meet.
Her group work centres on intimacy, relating, self-love and embodied consent, always held through a trauma-informed lens. She brings a warm, grounded presence and a practical, no-nonsense approach that helps people feel safe enough to go deep.
Karis is a graduate of The Field Facilitator Training led by Rachel Rickards, has trained in trauma-informed facilitation (Culture of Care with Catherine Hale), Living Tantra with intimacy expert Jan Day, Somatic Consent with consent educator Matthias Schwenteck and Heart IQ circle work with Christian Pankhurst.
Her personal and spiritual journey spans over 15 years, drawing from yoga, tantra, meditation, satsang, radical honesty, embodiment, consent and authentic relating.

Workshops
The essential guide for tantra virgins
What the heck is tantra anyway? Will I have to hug strangers, eye gaze for hours, get naked or do something wildly outside my comfort zone? What does it have to do with everyday life?
So, you’ve arrived at a tantra festival. You’re curious, excited, maybe nervous too… and wondering what on earth you’ve signed up for. This workshop is a friendly, grounded introduction to tantra for newcomers and anyone who wants to start slowly and consciously. Together we’ll explore:
• Safety, consent and boundaries, so you know how to listen to your own yes, no and maybe
• Slowing down and staying present in your body, especially when things feel new or unfamiliar
• Authenticity, without oversharing or performing
Think of this as a survival guide for tantra festivals and a very practical foundation for living more consciously in everyday life. Go your own pace. Choose how you participate. You’re always in charge of your own experience. Come and have fun, learn some important tools and leave with an empowered sense of agency and choice.
Relational Arts
- How we do this thing together
Relationships can be tricky, huh? We get triggered, we want different things, we can feel rejected, we pretend we’re ‘fine’ when we’re not. Sometimes one person wants closeness while the other wants space. We all long for connection but most of us weren’t taught how to actually ‘do’ relating.
Welcome to relating school! No exams. This workshop is a practical, human exploration of how we meet each other and what happens when we shift the focus from ‘me’ to ‘we’. We’ll explore what becomes possible when two people meet in presence, honesty and choice, without polish or pretense. Through simple relational practices, you’ll gain insight into your own relating patterns and have the chance to try something new, in real time.
We’ll explore a series of meetings through movement, touch and consensual interaction, all in honour of what’s alive and true between two people. This is an opportunity to experience real connection without disappearing into the person you're with or losing yourself in the process. Let’s practise being human, together.
