After the Waves of Malmö Tantra Festival

What happens when something touches us deeply during a weekend like this, when the music grows quiet, the hugs are over, and we return to our everyday lives?

This year's theme was Awaken Your Inner Light. For us, this means coming back to who we truly are. Freeing ourselves from old beliefs and patterns, meeting our shadows with curiosity, and creating new ways of thinking and living that make us feel more alive. We learn to say yes to what feels true, and also to say yes to our no. When our body says no, we listen. When our shadows appear, we meet them with curiosity: What are you showing me? What do I truly need? What am I longing for?

Doing this alone can feel exhausting, but together, something powerful happens. Through group energy, sensuality, curiosity, playfulness, and all the beautiful encounters, we can open doors within ourselves that are sometimes hard to reach on our own. We get to explore, laugh, feel, dance, and meet each other's hearts more openly.

The people around us affect us, whether we notice it or not. That's why we care so much about the energy we create together. As organizers, facilitators, and space holders, we work to create a field that feels supportive, alive, loving, and safe enough for us to explore ourselves and each other on a deep level.

When the Festival Is Over

You might feel full of love, inspiration, and new insights. You might also feel emotional, tired, or even a little lost. It can feel like an emotional hangover. So much has happened, and your body and mind need time to process everything, including experiences you may not fully understand yet.

Be gentle with yourself. If you have powerful insights or suddenly feel the urge to change your whole life, give them time to settle. Big experiences can open our hearts and make new possibilities feel so clear. Let your insights breathe before making major decisions. Give yourself a few days, or even a few weeks, to discover what still feels true once you've returned to everyday life.

The Beauty of Emptiness

You might also experience something else: emptiness. And that is so precious. Say yes to it.

After a weekend filled with people, touch, music, emotions, and experiences, everyday life can suddenly feel very quiet. But what if you allow yourself to rest in that emptiness?

In Buddhist teachings, emptiness can point towards a freedom from our fixed ideas about who we are and how life should be. It invites us to let go of the need to fill every moment or become something more. When we stop searching for the next experience, we may discover a quiet freedom within ourselves.

Put your hand on your heart. Take a few deep breaths. Let yourself land. You don't need to understand everything or rush towards the next thing. Give yourself permission to move at your own pace. Perhaps silence will bring peace. Perhaps it will reveal a new longing. Let both be welcome.

Thank You for Being Part of This Journey

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for saying yes to Malmö Tantra Festival. Being able to create this space for people to meet, explore, and grow is one of the most beautiful gifts in our work. Ylva and I feel deeply grateful that you choose to come and share this journey with us.

It is beautiful to watch you arrive on Friday and see how, throughout the weekend, something begins to change. Your eyes start to sparkle, your hearts open, and you begin to feel more alive, more connected, and more at home within yourselves. We see you finding the courage to stand more firmly in who you are while allowing more love, softness, and vulnerability into your lives. And perhaps that is what awakening your inner light is really about: remembering something within you that was always there.

Thank you for the presence, love, courage, and wisdom you bring into this field. We are deeply grateful for what we get to create and experience together.

Your Tribe Is Still Here

During this weekend, you may have found your tribe, deepened a connection, or discovered a new sense of belonging. Together, we open our hearts, witness each other's journeys, and remember something within us that was always there.

Even when we leave the same room and return to our everyday lives, the tribe lives on in our hearts, in the connections we've made, and in the afterglow of everything we've shared. Wherever life takes you, stay connected if you want. Find your tribe on Facebook by searching for Malmö Tantra Festival, and reach out whenever you need support, guidance, or connection.

The tribe is born when we gather. Come as you are. Come home. Together. As a Tribe. As One.
